Configure App Connect
If you are on the Pro plan - you now have the great possibility to create custom items in the navigation.
With this new feature, you can give your platform users and members access to club features that are not already inside the 360Player app. This guide will let you know how to get started.
How to create a link folder
The first thing you will do when creating a link is of course to navigate to the Custom links found in settings.
When here, you can now get started by creating your first folder! If you have no links setup, simply click "Set up your custom links"
Now set a folder title and an icon. It is this folder name and icon that will be displayed in the navigation bar for the user.
Creating your first link
When you have set up a folder, you can now add your first link to it! Simply click "New link in folder".
A lot of options will open up, not to worry.
First of all, we want to set a title and a URL for the link. The title will be displayed in the navigation for the end user, and the URL is where the link is supposed to lead to.
Note that the link always have to support a https protocol in order to work.
Next step is to set the embedding options of the link.
If you want the user to be sent to the website outside of the app, keep the setting "Open link in new tab".
If you instead want the user to stay within the 360Player app, click the "Embed link in 360Player" option. This will open up the page within the 360Player UI, seamless for the end user!
Some external websites don't allow embedding, so make sure that your link works as intended if selecting this option.
Working with rules
The final step in setting our link live is to add rules to it. Rules are ways of selecting who can view the link. Rules work in two ways:
- Matches ALL conditions
- Matches ANY conditions
Matches ALL conditions - rules
A rule that is set to match all conditions will need every condition that you set in the box to be true in order to display. In the example below, the link will only be displayed to Players between the ages of 10 and 20.
Matches ANY conditions - rules
On the flip side, if the rule is set to ANY, then only one condition has to be true in order for the link to show. Using the same example as above, now the link will be displayed if the user is between the ages of 10 to 20 or if they are a Player.
You can combine conditions and rules as you want, to have total control of what you display to your users. In this example we want to display the club merchandise store to everyone, so we'll create a very simple rule that is almost always true:
Now when saving, the link will be displayed in the navigation! 👏
